This month's event features two great local companies: Legal River is an online marketplace dedicated to helping lawyers and businesses connect. Small and medium sized businesses (SMB) may discover it challenging to find an attorney who is qualified, available, and interested in delivering services within the financial and timeline constraints inherent to their market segment. Legal River attempts to be a simple and secure online platform where SMBs can find and compare lawyers.
Through Legal River’s guided reverse marketplace platform, businesses post their legal needs and desired lawyer qualifications and receive responses from lawyers accordingly. Legal River deeply enhances business’ ability to connect with the best-suited lawyer, and also positions lawyers to increase visibility into their target market. Legal River services are free to businesses while lawyers pay a fee for the privilege of getting connected to prospective new accounts. and, OTraces Herndon, Virginia. Otraces has developed protein detection technology to be more sensitive and accurate than current systems in spying cancer biomarkers in patients. Its blood test is also designed to cut down on background biomarker signals that distract from current screening methods. They offer a non-invasive medical diagnostic solution within the high-need oncology market.
The current standard procedures--primarily mammography, DNA, or protein-based tests--are chalenged to balance sensitivity with the problem of false positives. Otraces addresses these issues with its ultra-sensitive protein detection technology that is several hundred times more sensitive than current practices. It offers the ability to detect oncology biomarkers by using the standard Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) techniques and dramatically reducing the biological background signals which hinder the current methods
